For more than a decade, our work has been shaped by the Bonanza Land LLC Portfolio—an extraordinary collection of historic mountain properties across Colorado’s Central Mining District. These landscapes have informed our architecture, construction practices, real estate expertise, historic preservation work, and the collections curated through Gallery VEDA.

We believe remarkable places deserve thoughtful stewardship. Our role is not simply to sell land or construct buildings, but to understand each landscape, respect its history, and help shape its next chapter with integrity and purpose.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

The name VEDA is derived from the ancient Sanskrit word meaning knowledge—not simply information, but wisdom gained through observation, experience, and understanding.

That philosophy guides everything we do.

We believe architecture should emerge from the landscape rather than dominate it. Historic places deserve preservation as well as thoughtful evolution. Artifacts should possess provenance. Homes should become legacies.

The Bonanza Land LLC Portfolio is more than a collection of historic mountain properties.

Spanning more than 2,000 acres across Colorado’s historic Central Mining District, the portfolio encompasses alpine forests, mountain meadows, historic mining infrastructure, ghost towns, archaeological resources, and some of the state’s most evocative surviving Gold Rush landscapes.

Decades of working within these properties have led naturally to expertise in high-elevation planning, patented mining claims, remote infrastructure, conservation, historic preservation, and mountain architecture.

OUR FOUNDER

Carl Schembri founded VEDA MODERN at the intersection of construction, real estate, fine art, historic preservation, and international travel.

As a Colorado Managing Real Estate Broker and Licensed General Contractor, he has spent more than a decade immersed in the stewardship and thoughtful development of Colorado’s historic mountain landscapes. His work in architecture, collecting, design, and historic preservation continues to inform the philosophy behind every VEDA project.

His work is guided by a simple belief:
